What we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control.

Elin Pilates Inc. is a family-run reformer Pilates studio at 2 Royal Vista Link NW, Unit 2140, Calgary, Alberta. We follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy covers elinpilates.ca, our booking and account system, and the messages we send you.
Our contact, studio tour, and suggest-a-class-time forms ask for your name, email, and phone number, along with what you choose to tell us: a message, a preferred tour time, or the class times you would like. If you arrived from one of our ads, the form also records which campaign brought you (for example, the ad source and campaign name).
When you create an account, book, buy, or sign a waiver, you do so in WellnessLiving, our booking system. That includes your contact details, booking and purchase history, the waiver, and the health profile you complete so we can teach you safely. For clients under 18, a parent or guardian provides this on their behalf. Card payments are processed through WellnessLiving; we do not store full card numbers on this website.
We use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand how people find and use the site: pages viewed, clicks on booking, phone, email, and Instagram links, form submissions, and general device and browser details. These tools use cookies and similar technologies, and they run only if you accept them (see Cookies and Your Choices below). The site also stores the ad campaign you arrived from in your browser for the length of your visit.
If you email, call, or text us, we keep that conversation so we can help you.
To answer your questions and arrange tours; to book classes and sessions, manage memberships, and take payment; to keep you safe in class; to send booking confirmations, reminders, and other studio emails; to plan our schedule; and to understand which pages and ads are useful so we can improve them. We collect only what we need for these purposes and do not sell your personal information.
By using our forms or booking with us, you consent to these purposes. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits; this may affect what we can offer, such as booking classes without a signed waiver.
We send promotional emails only with your consent. Every one identifies us and includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Booking confirmations and other service messages are sent regardless.
We share personal information only with providers who help us run the studio, and only for the purposes above:
Some of these providers may collect, store, or process your information in the United States and other countries outside Canada, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. They do so only to host the site, run bookings and payments, send email, and measure site and ad performance. You may request written information about our policies for providers outside Canada, or ask questions about them, by contacting our Privacy Officer, Yohan Kim, below.
We may disclose information where the law requires or permits it, such as in an emergency or in response to a lawful request.
On your first visit, a small bar at the bottom of the page asks whether we may use cookies for Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. Until you choose Accept, neither one loads. If you choose Decline, they stay off. We remember your choice in your browser, and you can change it at any time with Cookie Settings, here or in the footer of every page. If you clear your browser storage, we will ask again.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. You can control ads from Meta in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. The site works without these cookies, though WellnessLiving needs its own cookies to sign you in.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, such as tax and liability records, and then delete or de-identify it securely.
We use reputable providers with security measures and limit access to the people at the studio who need it. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta and the people affected without unreasonable delay.
This website is not aimed at children. For clients aged 10 to 17, a parent or guardian provides their information and consent.
Links to WellnessLiving, Instagram, Google Play, and other sites lead to services with their own privacy policies.
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, how it has been used and disclosed, and to correct anything inaccurate. Email us and we will respond within 45 days, as PIPA requires. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Our Privacy Officer, Yohan Kim, answers questions about this policy, about how we and our service providers handle your information, and about access requests.
